1. Download and Connect to Neo notes
<App Installation and Connection>
① Search for "Neo Notes" in Google Play Store or IOS store and install the app.
② In the Neo Notes app, enter the "Settings" menu located at the top left.
③ In the "Settings" menu, enter "Pen Manager" at the top.
④ In the "Pen Manager" menu, click "Pen Registration" on the bottom right.
⑤ Click the “Yes” button at the bottom of the “Pen Registration” menu and press the power button in the pen for 3 seconds.
⑥ When a blue light on the pen LED is blinking, press the "Next Step" button.
⑦ When the pen is connected, you can start using the Neo Notes app.

2. Setting a Pen Password
If you set a pen password, you can safely keep your personal written contents.
1) In the Neo Notes app, enter the "Settings" menu at the top left.
2) In the "Settings" menu, enter "Pen Information" menu at the top.
3) Select "Set Password" in "Pen Information".
4) You can set the pen password here.
3. Changing Automatic Turn Off Time
You can set the automatic time for the Neo smartpen (M1 +, M1, N2) to turn off automatically.
1) In Neo Notes app, enter the Settings menu at the top left.
2) Enter the Pen Information on the top.
3) Select Set Off Time.
4) You can set the auto-off time to 10 minutes / 20 minutes / 40 minutes / 60 minutes. (20 minutes is the default setting)
4. Checking Battery Level and Storage Space
You can check the battery level and the remaining storage space of the Neo smartpen.
1) Launch Neo Notes app and connect Neo Smartpen.
2) Select [Pen Button] menu on the top right of the app screen.
3) Here, you can check the battery level and the remaining storage space.
5. Sharing Through Emails
With Neo smartpen (M1+, M1, N2) and Neo Notes app connected,
Instantly email your handwriting by ticking V on the email icon at the top right side of the page.
(Your email is automatically sent from the Google Account which signed with Neonotes)
1) In the NeoNote app, enter the "Settings" menu at the top left.
2) In the "Settings" menu, enter "Pen Information" at the top.
3) Select "Email Settings" in "Pen Information".
4) An email is sent to the address you set.
6. Setting Handwriting Recognition Language
Aside from Korean, are other languages supported for Handwriting Recognition?
Neo Notes app supports handwriting recognition in 34 languages.
You can search for written data in Neo Notes app according to the language you set.
1) In Neo Notes app, enter the "Settings" menu at the top left.
2) In the "Settings" menu, enter the "Handwriting Recognition Language Pack" menu at the top.
3) Install the available languages you need from the list.
4) If you select the desired language for use, search function will be supported through the selected language.
7. Sharing Your Notes
In Neo Notes app, written contents created with Neo smartpen (M1+, M1, N2)
can be shared in various formats (PNG, PDF, TEXT, SVG, PPT, Word).
However, when sharing the entire note, it can only be shared as PDF file.
1) Sharing a page
① Launch Neo Notes app and select the page you want to share.
② Click the fourth icon from the left of the menu at the top of the page list.
③ Select the desired file format among [PNG], [PDF], [TEXT], [SVG], [PPT], and [Word] from the sharing options.
④ When you select an app to share, the written contents on the page is shared with the selected file.
2) Share all notes
① Launch Neo Notes app, then click and hold the desired note cover on the main screen.
② Click the "Share" button on the top left.
③ Select [PDF] file format from the sharing options.
④ When you select an app to share, the written contents of the notes are shared with the selected file.
8. Search
Search for written contents in Neo Notes app.
① Launch Neo Notes, and select the [Search (magnifying glass)] button at the top of the app.
② Enter a keyword to search.
③ In the search results, pages containing the keyword will be listed in the searched pages.
※ When searching for written contents, the search results may vary depending on which language the handwriting recognition is set to.
<How to set the handwriting recognition language>
① In Neo Notes app, enter the "Settings" menu at the top left.
② In the "Settings" menu, enter the "Handwriting Recognition Language Pack" menu at the top.
③ Install the available languages you need from the list.
④ If you select the desired language for use, search function will be supported through the selected language.
9. Tag
Tag your pages on Neo Notes app to easily categorize your notes.
1. Add tags to pages
① Select the fifth button from the left of the menu tab on the page you want to tag.
② Enter a keyword in the tag input field and select the tag creation [+] button on the right to add a tag to the page.
2. Search for a page with a specific tag
① Select the Search icon on the top right of the app.
② Enter a keyword to search.
③ Pages tagged with the keywords are searched.
10. Record and play writings
You can record while taking notes with Neo smartpen dimo.
1. Allow permission to use the recording function
-First, to use the recording function, please allow the microphone permission on the device.
(Manual setting location: Settings> Application> Neo Notes> Permissions> Microphone - Allow)
2. Record Your Voice and Writing
① Click the microphone button from the third left button of the top menu in the note page.
② When the recording starts, a recording layer appears at the bottom of the screen. Take your notes while the recording is going on.
③ If you select the stop button [■] of the recording layer, recording ends and it is automatically saved.
④ Click the play button second from the left of the top page to check the recording history.
⑤ In Neo Studio, if you record while writing with Neo smartpen dimo connected to the app, the handwritten content will be played along with the recording.
3. Playing Writings & Recordings
① Click the play button (second from the left) at the top of the page to check the recording history.
② Click the [Record] button among the [Write] and [Record] menus at the center top.
③ If you press the play button at the bottom, an audio will be played along with the writings.
④ When you click the written contents on the app screen, the specific audio recorded at the point of writing will be played.
11. Edit Mode -Color/Thickness Change
In Neo Notes app, you can set and change the color and thickness of your writing.
1. Changing the color/thickness of written content
① Launch Neo Notes app and connect Neo smartpen (M1+, M1, N2).
② Click the [EDIT] button in the center menu at the top of the page.
③ Click the dotted square button in the center menu at the top of the [EDIT] screen.
④ You can freely change the color and thickness by capturing the part you want to edit.
2. Setting Color&Thickness(before writing in notes)
① Launch Neo Notes app and connect Neo smartpen (M1+, M1, N2).
② Click the pallet-shaped icon at the bottom right of the page.
③ You can write with freely adjusting the color and thickness.
12. Edit Mode- Overwriting
① Touch the Edit icon on top right corner.
② After setting the desired color and thickness, you can add contents by touching the screen.
③ Edited data will be saved when you touch Save button before closing the Edit mode.
13. Edit Mode- Eraser
Eraser allows you to eliminate typos and remove any unwanted pen strokes.
① Select the area you want to delete(selection is done based on strokes).
② Tap the the trash bin button and get rid of the selected strokes.
③ Tab 'Save' button when closing the Edit Mode.
14. Edit Mode- Highlighting
"Highlighing feature allows you to mark important notes you previously made.

①Tap the marker pen icon in the upper menu.
② Make additional highlighting strokes by touching the screen.
